I just purchased a nice, $300 SZ model system with 5 wireless remote transmitters. Your website claims that they work up to 100 meters of open air. This set doesn't work more than 15 times out of 20 at anything greater than 1 foot! And what's the point if they don't work every time? I certainly don't want the alarm going off every fourth time I enter the house!
The rest of the system I've managed to set up just fine. But 1 foot!? How is that convenient? If I'd have known that I'd have to splice the wire (3 feet of cord from the receiver to the wireless receiver source) add 100 feet of wiring and have it gaudily cross my living area, I'd have just purchased the wireless dialing station or whatever--but would that have worked any better? I'm certainly not convinced. What are you going to do about this?

That jumper setting is for tuning one of the resistor value. Sometimes when the sensor cannot send signals to the main unit, we may change that value.
However, we rarely need to change that setting. So, please try not to change anything for that jumper setting.

1. The on off switch is the button for back up battery. If you plug the power to the system and turn on that switch, back up battery is activated so that when there is a power cut, your system can still operate with the backup power.
2. For the first time use, please try to charge it for 24 hours. Did you store the phone number into the system? Does the system send you sms alerts when alarm is triggered?

Hello!! I received two days ago my order (142642) (very fast shipment thanks) and I would like to address a few problems I faced while trying to install the system.
1. I cannot make the wireless siren work with the system. After reading a lot of posts from the community section I found one dated Thu 8/13/2009 10:24:45 PostID: 1537 that seems to be similar to my problem. (My transmitter wires are white and white-black). The siren works fine if its lifted or if main power is off but not if alarm is triggered. I try connecting the transmitter to a 9v battery but nothing happened. There is also a blue wire that is connected to s+. Do I need to connect that anywhere? Also that guy was talking about receiver transmitter. Where is the receiver? 2. My second question has to do with This PIR motion detectors. According to your webpage they operate with 2 x AA batteries and are pet friendly with sensitivity adjustment feature (depends on pet size). The ones I received are 9V not 3V and I caNnot find how to adjust the sensitivity. Please advice. There is also one detector that it is only triggered if you go very close to it (10cm). Are there any setting I can do to fix this?
3. Finally I would like to purchase additional door /window sensors (10) as well as 2 extra remote controls. How do I make sure that they are compatible with my system. Thanking you in advance George

Hi,
TA system doesn't have entrance delay. If you are looking for a GSM alarm with entrance delay, you can consider the secBo series alarm:
http://www.novibo.com/detail.asp?catid=52944&subcatid=52942&pdtid=395418&private
For remote controllers, you can add extra remote controllers to the system. When you click the product page, there are many combo boxes which allow you to add extra sensors, remotes, and other accessories to the alarm system.

I plan on purchasing the TA system. However, the comparison chart indicates that there can not be an entrance delay so that the unit can be disarmed from the control panel.
Is that so? I makes a difference on the amout of remotes I will require.

If you turn on the phone line detection, doesn't matter you arm the system or not, the system will set off if it detects a phone line disconnection.
So, it probably because of your phone line. Please try to turn off the phone line detection function and see if the siren still sounds for half a second randomly.

I have the Wireless Burglar Alarm System - Advanced Series SJ. I also have the SJ06 WIRELESS Twin Piezo Strobe Siren attached. Once a day for absolutely no reason at all the alarm goes off for about half a second. The happens when the siren is not even armed??? This is incredibly frustrating. The siren is not programed to go off when the power is disconnected. The alarm is programmed to go off when the phone line is cut so maybe it is a problem with the noise in the phone line but i would have thouth this would only go off if the alarm was actaully armed? Please help this is very annoying.

I have a SZ security system with a few wireless sensors and remotes. I'm experiencing reliability problems with one of my zones. The sensor is far from the receiver unit and the signal needs to go through a wall.
Is there any way to increase the signal strength of the sensors, remotes and the receiver unit?

Re: PostID[2653]

There is a blue wire and brown wire for the loudspeaker. Please connect the blue wire to GND/ground port, and then connect the brown wire to the loudspeaker port. Loudspeaker port should be just beside O2 port.
When you use the loudspeaker, you need to enter a command to turn on the loudspeaker. After you called the main unit with your phone, and entered the password#, you need to enter 93#1#. Please extend the loudspeaker wire as far away from the main unit as possible to avoid interference.
You can only speak using the 93#1# command or listen using the 4#1# command, but not both at the same time.

Which model of alarm are you using?
By look at the command you sent, seems like you are having dual/tri-band alarm. We don't have any Quad Band alarm with similar cammand.
When you send the command, did you get a confirmation sms back to your mobile phone? If no, it means you didn't store the number successfully.

Actually, remote functions are different for different alarm systems.
For this SX/SZ/TA systems, the fourth button on the remote doesn't serve any purpose. Orginally it is a partial arm button. But for SX/SZ/TA system, partial arm has to be done by sms message function.

I changed SW4 to NO as it is necessary for SX alarm system, then one cable to ground and other to I1.
My SX has a switch at the back which function is not explained anywhere in the manual. I changed the position of this switch and the alarm is not setting off when calling the system, but it does not recognise PIN or comands by phone call yet. The issue is I have one of your loudspeakers that is useless under these conditions.
Could you give me more suggestions or send instructions to exchange the unit?

Re: PostID[2599]
----------------------------------------------------------
The noise is due to the monitoring function is on, this also may cause the number you input cannot reach the system properly and it cannot recognize the number you press. If it recognize the number you press every time, it will reply with a beep sound.
2 beeps means incorrect command. the system cannot recognize 1, 2 and 3 so it hangs off.
How did you connect SW4 to I1? did you set NO/NC correctly for I1?
Our suggestion is to press the password and you must hear the beep sound to confirm the each number cna be received. for example if password is 123456, then you press 1 (hear beep) 2(beep) 3(beep) 4(beep)5(beep)6(beep)#(beep) then command
We can can exchange new units with you if there is problem, we hope to solve any problem that arised.
